A dryer section of a machine that produces a web of material, e.g., a paper or cardboard production machine, may include a plurality of dryer cylinders and a plurality of guide rolls mounted on a foundation. The dryer section may include at least one dryer group, each dryer group including a transport belt. The dryer section may include an arrangement in which each of the dryer cylinders of the dryer section are arranged on a first plane and each of the guide rolls located within the at least one dryer group are arranged on a second plane substantially parallel to the first plane. The dryer section may also be arranged for single or double sided drying of the web of material.
