DRYING APPARATUS Inventor: Hans Arendt Abstract of the Invention The apparatus is a drying machine for drying leather or fabrics. The drying machine has a housing, a perforated drum mounted for rotation in the housing, a warm gas inlet in the housing communicating with the perforated drum, a waste gas outlet mounted in the housing communicating with the perforated drum and a fan to generate a gas current through the housing and drum. Waste gas from the dryer is led to a drying column containing a means to dehumidify the waste gas and a means for heating the waste gas arrayed between the waste gas outlet and the warm gas inlet. The drying column comprises a condensate separation means to separate condensate and a means to heat the gas going from the condensate separation means. There is a means to circulate the gas to the gas inlet from the drying column.
