When preparing drywall for installation, it is often preferred to smooth the edge of the board that has been cut. This device (3), attached to a standard retractable tape measure belt clip (1), enables the operator to smooth the rough edge on the board while being easily accessible. This device has a body (5) that slides under a belt clip (1) on a tape measure (2). A surface has been attached to the top of the body that enables material to be shaved/filed. Using the palm of your hand, and the tape body (2) to push against the belt clip (1) enables the user to shave or file drywall boards and other materials may be filed easily.
