The invention is directed to a dual barrel carburetor (10) for a motorcycle. The preferred carburetor (10) includes a novel combination of a fuel bowl assembly (20), a metering assembly (30), a main body assembly (40), and an air plenum assembly (50). The dual barrel carburetor (10) includes annular discharge booster venturis (404) associated with a main fuel delivery circuit (320). An idle circuit (314) opens downstream of the throttle plates (440). A transfer circuit discharge port (454) is positioned across the throttle plates (440). The combination of the idle (314), transfer (450), and main fuel (320) circuits ensures the smooth delivery of fuel throughout all operating conditions of the motorcycle engine.
La présente invention concerne un carburateur double corps (10) pour motocycles. Le carburateur (10) préféré combine, de façon nouvelle, un ensemble cuve (20) de carburateur, un ensemble doseur (30), un ensemble corps principal (40) et un ensemble chambre (50) de compression. Ledit carburateur double corps (10) comprend un venturi secondaire (404) de sortie annulaire, associé à un circuit (320) principal d'amenée du carburant. Un circuit (314) de ralenti s'ouvre en aval des papillons (440) des gaz. Un orifice (454) de sortie de circuit de tranfert est positionné entre les papillons (440) des gaz. La combinaison du circuit de ralenti (314), du circuit de transfert (450) et du circuit principal (320) garantit l'injection régulière du carburant quelles que soient les conditions de fonctionnement du moteur du motocycle.
