A vitrectomy probe has a disposable tip portion and a reusable hand piece portion. The disposable tip portion has a shaft terminating in a blade and a sleeve with an opening. The shaft is slideably disposed within the sleeve and capable of reciprocating in the sleeve. The reusable hand piece has a channel for receiving the shaft, first and second coils for driving the shaft in a reciprocating fashion, and a housing enclosing the channel and the first and second coils. The first and second coils are alternately energized to drive the shaft in a reciprocating fashion.
La présente invention concerne une sonde de vitrectomie présentant une portion de pointe jetable et une portion de pièce à main réutilisable. Ladite portion de pointe jetable possède une tige se terminant en une lame et un manchon doté d'une ouverture. Ladite tige est disposée de manière à coulisser dans le manchon, et est capable d'aller et venir dans ledit manchon. La pièce à main réutilisable est pourvue d'un canal destiné à accueillir la tige, d'une première et d'une seconde bobines destinées à actionner la tige pour qu'elle effectue un mouvement de va-et-vient, et d'un boîtier renfermant le canal ainsi que la première et la seconde bobines. Ladite première et ladite seconde bobines sont alimentées alternativement, afin d'entraîner le mouvement de va-et-vient de la tige.
