The present dual fuel injector (12) reduces the formation of carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons and nitrogen ox- ides within the combustion zone by provid- ing a series of premixing chambers (148, 188) being in serially aligned relationship one to another. During operation of the dual fuel injector (12) the premixing cham- bers (148, 188) have a liquid fluid and air or water and air being further mixed with additional air or a gaseous fluid and air. The liquid fluid and the gaseous fluid can be used simultaneously or individually de- pending on the availability of fluids.

L'injecteur bicombustible (12) objet de cette invention réduit la formation de monoxyde de carbone, d'hydrocarbures non brûlés et d'oxydes d'azote dans la zone de combustion à l'aide d'une série de chambres de prébrassage (148, 188) alignées en série les unes par rapport aux autres. Lorsque l'injecteur bicombustible (12) fonctionne, les chambres de prébrassage (148, 188) assurent un nouveau brassage d'un fluide liquide et d'air ou d'eau et d'air avec de l'air additionnel ou avec un gaz et de l'air. Le fluide liquide et le fluide gazeux peuvent s'employer simultanément ou séparément selon leur disponibilité.
