Two lamp sockets on a wiring board behind a switch assembly have identical geometries. Each comprises a through-hole with a polarizing feature. Plural discrete contact pads are disposed on the board surface spaced apart around the margin of each through-hole. Plural discrete conductor traces are printed on the board surface to run from the respective contact pads. Each socket can accept either a first model or a second model of lamp assembly to make either socket a status indicator for the switch assembly or a nighttime illumination socket. A common wiring board can thereby serve different requirements for the locations of status indicator and nighttime illumination lamps.

L'invention concerne deux douilles de lampe (40, 42) situées sur un tableau de connexions (32) derrière un ensemble commutateur (18) et présentant des configurations identiques. Chacune de ces douilles comprend un trou débouchant doté d'une caractéristique de polarisation. Plusieurs plots de contact séparés (44, 46, 48, 50) sont disposés sur la surface du tableau et espacés autour de la marge de chaque trou débouchant. Une pluralité de traces conductrices séparées (52, 54, 56, 58) sont imprimées sur la surface du tableau et partent de leurs plots de contact respectifs. Chaque douille peut accepter un premier modèle (66) ou un second modèle (68) d'ensemble lampe, d'où l'obtention d'une douille d'indicateur de statut pour l'ensemble commutateur ou d'une douille d'éclairage nocturne. Un tableau de connexions classique peut ainsi remplir différentes exigences en ce qui concerne les emplacements des lampes d'indicateur de statut et d'éclairage nocturne.
