A system for reducing lifting costs in a producing oil well is disclosed. The system employs a casing string set through a production zone having upper producing perforations and lower injection perforations. Dual progressing cavity pumps are run in on a tubing string to the production zone and a production packer is set between the producing and injection perforations. Produced fluid is allowed to separate in the casing - production tubing annulus and the first progressing cavity pump pumps the separated oil to the surface via the production tubing. The separated water is pumped to the injection perforations below the packer by the second progressing cavity pump.

L'invention porte sur un système permettant de réduire les coûts d'extraction dans un puits de pétrole en production. Le système utilise une colonne de tubage traversant une zone de production et qui comporte des perforations de production dans sa partie supérieure et des perforations d'injection dans sa partie inférieure. Des pompes jumelées à cavité intermédiaire sont descendues dans la colonne de production jusqu'à la zone de production et une garniture d'étanchéité est placée entre les perforations de production et celles d'injection. Le fluide produit peut se séparer dans l'espace annulaire séparant le tubage de revêtement et le tubage de production et la première pompe à cavité intermédiaire pompe le pétrole séparé jusqu'à la surface par le tubage de production. L'eau séparée est pompée jusqu'aux perforations d'injection sous la garniture d'étanchéité par la seconde pompe à cavité intermédiaire.
