ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hydrocyclone separator has a tangential inlet comprising an inlet nozzle that accepts a mixture to be separated and a diluting liquid. The inlet is at one end of the hydrocyclone and a heavy fraction outlet is at the other end.
