Valve (50) and valve lift system (52) suitable for use in a regenerative thermal oxidizer (10), and oxidizer including the switching valve. The valve of the present invention exhibits excellent sealing characteristics and minimizes wear. In a preferred embodiment, the valve is sealed with pressurized air during its stationary modes, and unsealed during movement to reduce valve wear.
L'invention concerne une soupape (50) et un système de levée de soupape (52) destinés à être employés dans un oxydateur thermique régénératif (10), ainsi qu'un oxydateur contenant une telle soupape de commutation. La soupape selon l'invention présente d'excellentes caractéristiques d'étanchéité et permet de réduire l'usure. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, la soupape est fermée au moyen d'air comprimé en mode stationnaire, et ouverte en mouvement afin de réduire l'usure de la soupape.
