A fastener having an assembly comprising a sleeve and pin for telescoping movement therein useful for clamping together a plurality of work pieces has two mechanical locking structures for locking the pin and sleeve together. One locking mechanism comprises material contained in a reduced diameter section of the sleeve which is formed into a first locking groove of the pin as a result of pulling the pin into the sleeve. A second lock comprises a locking crown formed in the sleeve head which is formed into a second locking groove in the pin by means of increased pulling pressure applied by the setting tool against the locking crown after pin movement has stopped. The design of the pin head is such that a clamping of the work pieces occurs prior to expansion of the sleeve in the apertures of the work pieces and prior to setting the double locks of the pin to the sleeve.
Un dispositif de fixation comprenant un assemblage constitué d'un manchon et d'une tige pour mouvement télescopique, lequel est utile pour serrer ensemble une pluralité de pièces à travailler, a deux structures de blocage mécanique pour solidariser la tige et le manchon. L'un des blocages mécaniques est constitué du matériau contenu dans une section à diamètre réduit du manchon qui forme une première rainure de blocage de la tige quand celle-ci est tirée dans le manchon. Un deuxième blocage mécanique est constitué d'un bombement formé dans la tête du manchon qui forme une deuxième rainure de blocage dans la tige au moyen d'une force de traction accrue exercée par l'outil de pose sur le bombement de blocage une fois arrêté le mouvement de la tige. La tête de la tige est conçue de manière que le serrage des pièces à travailler survienne avant l'expansion du manchon dans les ouvertures des pièces à travailler et avant l'application du double blocage de la tige dans le manchon.
