DUAL OUTPUT STAGE FOR INTERNAL PLANETARY GEAR WINCHES Abstract The torque driving the final reduction in a planetary winch tranmission is split, driving two final but separate output stages to a common ring gear of a drum or the like. Alternative embodiments provide multiple planetary stages. splitting mechanism is driven by an input and splits the torque from the input into two separate multiplication paths to said common ring gear of the drum. The splitting mechanism includes splitter bars having a central coupling means driven from the input, and opposite end coupling means which drive the output stages. In one embodiment, the central coupling means is offset toward one of the end coupling means. -9-
