ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An endogging apparatus using twin reciprocally moving carriages, each with connected dog means. One of the carriages grasps the log from a log charger with its dog means and transports the log to and through breakdown elements. The second carriage moves from the location of the breakdown elements to the charger to grasp a second log with its dog means. The dog means on the carriages are offset and retractable to allow passage of the two carriages when one carriage is transporting a log through the breakdown elements with extended dog means and the second carriage is returning unloaded to the charger with retracted dog means.
