ABSTRACT The invention relates to improvements in a dual purpose vehicle having a dump body which can be hinged at either the front or rear end thereof so that it may be tipped rear wardly for use as a dump truck or tipped forwardly for use as a spreader. The hinge means have been improved to provide a bearing for receiving the weight of the dump body and the floor of the body is provided with an inlay to allow salt/sand mixtures to flow at a 26° angle of forward tilt.
