DUAL-RANGE NEBULIZER Abstract An aspirator/nebulizer for use in inhalation therapy which allows efficient dilution of a high-pressure oxygen source. A 50 psig oxygen source can be diluted with atmospheric air to yield atmospheric-pressure gas com- prised of less than 28% oxygen at conventional patient flow rates of 30-60 liters per minute. Oxygen may be delivered at conventional rates of 6-15 l/min for high dilution situations or may be delivered at the rate of at least about 40 l/min to satisfy low dilution requirements.
