ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION DISCLOSURE A dual serrodyne resonator fiber optic gyroscope utilizing two positive-going or two negative-going ramp signals having a frequency difference, to track resonance frequencies of laser light traveling in two directions in a fiber optic resonator. The difference in the servo-controlled variable ramp frequencies is proportional to rotation rate and is indicative of direction of rotation.
