ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A sensing device for use with a motion picture projector for projecting a motion picture having a sound track with two or more sound channels, said projector having a light source for illuminating said sound track, said sensing device having a base or fixed portion adapted to be fastened to a suitable portion of the motion picture projector, such as a housing, and a moveable support member adjustably connected to said base portion, and adjustment means for adjusting said support member relative to said fixed portion, and two or more photo voltaic cells mounted on the moveable portion, each having a width dimension appropriate to the width of one of said sound channels, and each separated by a small gap.
