A dual tubing adapter for use in wells producing fluid comprises a Y-block having a top surface and a bottom surface. A drive aperture extends from the top surface to the bottom surface. A production aperture extends from the top surface to at a mid-point of the drive aperture. Means are provided to connect a pump to the bottom end of the drive aperture such that fluid pumped thereby enters the bottom end of the drive aperture. A drive tubing string is connectable to the top end of the drive aperture, and a production tubing string is connectable to the top end of the production aperture . A seal is operational to prevent fluid pumped by the pump into the bottom end of the drive aperture from reaching the top end of the drive aperture, thereby directing same up through the production aperture. Means to drive the pump passes through the seal and the drive aperture. A system using the adapter is also disclosed.
