QUALPROTECH INC. PATENT APPLICATION for a DUAL VALVE TRITIUM STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION BED ABSTRACT Transportation and storage of tritium requires containers that are rugged to prevent the possible release of tritium in case of an accident. This invention has two valves integral with the body of the container so that it cannot be damaged if the container strikes something or is struck by something. The dual valve design (at the same end) allows for continuous flow through the unit, made possible by the design of the pressure vessel body. The tritium is transported and stored as a metal hydride through the use of a getter material. It is driven from the container by heating it with heaters applied externally, internally or by means such as microwave or radio frequency.
