A dual voltage and current control feedback control loop for an optical sensor system. A power supply provides a regulated DC voltage. A current source receives the regulated DC voltage and provides switched current to a light source. A cur-rent feedback representative of the current to the light source is provided to the power supply on a feedback path when the current source is driving the light source. A voltage feedback representative of the DC voltage is provided to the power supply on the feedback path when the current source is not driving the light source.

La présente invention concerne une chaîne de rétroaction de commande double de tension et de courant pour un système de capteur optique. Une alimentation électrique produit une tension CC régulée. Une source de courant reçoit la tension CC régulée et envoie un courant commuté à une source lumineuse. Une rétroaction de courant représentant le courant destiné à la source lumineuse est envoyée à l'alimentation électrique sur un chemin de rétroaction lorsque la source de courant excite la source lumineuse. Une rétroaction de tension représentant la tension CC est envoyée à l'alimentation électrique sur le chemin de retour lorsque la source de courant n'excite pas la source lumineuse.
