A tubular duct has an outward flange on the outer circumferential surface at the end. To connect two tubular ducts, the outward flanges are both covered with a partially cut-out tightening ring. A metal fitting is projected at each end of the tightening ring . A screw rod is inserted into the opposing metal fittings. By rotating a nut around the screw rod, the tightening ring is tightened and shortened in diameter to connect the ducts tightly.
