The invention relates to corrugated plastic duct elements and methods for manufacturing and assembling same for use in gas circulation systems. The corrugated plastic duct elements can have a reduced weight when compared with traditional duct elements, in addition of being rapid and easy to produce, store, transport, and install. The cost for manufacture, storage, transport and installation can thus be reduced when compared with traditional duct elements. Moreover, the assembly of the duct elements into gas circulation systems can be handled easily and rapidly by non-professional workers with common tools, such as a pair of scissor or a cutting knife for example. Moreover, circulation systems using these corrugated plastic duct elements can have enhanced thermal and acoustic insulation over current systems, because of the air trapped inside structure of the corrugated plastic material used. It can be designed to be easily adjustable to specific alimentary, sanitary or environmental guidelines.
