ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A duct jointing system has elongate frame members each with a longitudinal channel portion defining a longitudinal opening for receiving one end of a respective wall of a section of a sheet metal duct and openings at opposite ends thereof, and L-shaped corner connecting pieces linking the frame members together in mutually angularly disposed relationship, the corner connecting pieces each comprising a pair of limbs engaged in respective ones of the openings. The frame members side faces are opposed to side faces of frame members on an adjacent duct section, and protuberances extend from the sloe faces towards each other in an assembled joint to grip a sealing gasket in tight sealing engagement between opposed pairs of the protuberances.
