The invention relates to a device for searching for shipwrecks and ships during rescue operations, said device consisting of a dummy, in general terms, or more loosely, any type of model representing, with a minimum amount of accuracy, the main physical characteristics of a person, such as weight, size, shape, dimensions, etc. The device according to the invention is designed as a dummy or any other type of model simulating a human body, that imitates, as accurately as possible, the main physiological characteristics largely determining the behaviour of a body in the water, such as dimensions, shape, weight, floatability, clothes, etc. Furthermore, the dummy comprises a positioning system such as a GPS or the like and a signal transmitter enabling its exact position to be indicated to a receiver at any moment, a compartment that shall be called "lung" hereafter, which is prefereably located in the chest of the dummy and provided with an opening valve containing an inflatable impermeable bag, a compressed gas reservoir, and an activation system having a programmable timer, and, optionally, a signal receiver enabling remote activation.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif conçu pour la recherche de naufragés et de navires dans des opérations de sauvetage, constitué en termes généraux, d'un mannequin ou, en général, n'importe quel modèle qui représente avec une fidélité minimale les principales caractéristiques physiques d'une personne telles que le poids, la taille, la forme, les dimensions, etc. Le dispositif préconisé est conçu tel un mannequin ou n'importe quel autre modèle qui simule un corps humain, imitant avec la plus grande fidélité possible les principales caractéristiques physiologiques qui déterminent dans leur grande majorité le comportement d'un corps dans l'eau, tel que les dimensions, la forme, le poids, la flottabilité, les vêtements, etc. En outre, le mannequin dispose d'un système de localisation tel qu'un GPS ou analogue et un émetteur de signal qui permet d'indiquer à un récepteur sa position exacte à tout moment, un compartiment que nous appellerons ci-après "poumon", lequel est de préférence logé dans la poitrine du mannequin, pourvu d'une valve d'ouverture, lequel présente à l'intérieur une poche imperméable gonflable, un réservoir de gaz comprimé et un système d'activation qui comprend un temporisateur programmable, ainsi que, éventuellement, un récepteur de signaux qui permet l'activation à distance.
