ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a dump truck, the improvement wherein the dump body has a bottom structure constituting the bottom of the dump body receptacle. A longitudinally extending conveyor is structurally integrated therein with the conveyor recessed below the remaining bottom of the dump body receptacle. The tailgate has a forwardly projecting hood and a conveyor door, mounted within the hood, having an open position thereof providing a conveyor opening aligned with the conveyor forwardly of the rear end of the conveyor and a closed position thereof closing the conveyor opening. The spreader is mounted on the truck frame at the rear end thereof and comprises shiftable mounting means for shifting the spreader between a rear spreader position thereof below the rear end of the conveyor for use of the truck in a spreader mode of operation and a forward retracted position thereof free of the truck for use of the truck in a dump mode of operation.
