ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Expanded, resilient, thermoplastic dunnage particles are rendered more effective by coating the outer surface of the particles with an additive which increases the coefficient of friction of that outer surface. The additive also promotes at least a minimum amount of adhesion between the dunnage particles.
