ABSTRACT A control mechanism for a duplex copy tray is disclosed as having a side edge guide which is driven inwardly and outwardly to engage the sides of copy sheets to be collected therein during duplex copying. A drive mechanism is provided to so drive the guide and a sensing arrangement is associated with the guide and a guide member of a sheet supply tray for insuring that the duplex tray is adapted to receive the size of copy sheets from the supply tray.
