ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A dust control system is shown for an abrasive grinder. The grinder backing plate is provided with a socket which provides rotating engagement with the mating hub provided on the abrasive disk. As the disk is rotated between a release position and an engagement position, air passage holes provided in abrasive disk are aligned with mating holes provided in the disk backing plate. The device also includes a shroud connected to a vacuum source, the shroud being spaced from the grinder backing plate by a predetermined gap to allow the intake of dust from the work surface.
