The present invention relates to an oral care dye composition for detection of demineralization lesions comprising: a first phase (or first composition) comprising from about 0.1% to about 10% by weight of the composition of a blue dye and mixtures thereof; a second phase (or second composition) comprising from about 0.1% to about 10% by weight of the composition of a red dye or a yellow dye or mixtures thereof; a safe and effective amount of a solvent wherein the dye is soluble in the solvent; and optionally a safe and effective amount of a flavor; wherein the composition is effective for detection of demineralized lesions. The present invention further relates to method of visually highlighting demineralization lesions, in tooth surfaces, or a method of detecting the mineralization health of teeth, wherein the above dye composition is applied to the oral cavity or to the teeth, of a human or animal subject, in need thereof. In one embodiment a first dye composition and a second dye composition are applied, sequentially, to a human or animal subject's oral cavity or teeth, in need thereof, wherein after the dye compositions are applied, the teeth are visually observed to assess demineralized lesions stained by the dyes.
La présente invention concerne une composition de soins dentaires colorante de détection de lésions déminéralisées, comprenant une première phase (ou première composition) contenant d'environ 0,1% à environ 10% en poids d'un colorant bleu et de mélanges de celui-ci, une seconde phase (ou seconde composition) contenant d'environ 0,1% à environ 10% en poids d'un colorant rouge ou d'un colorant jaune, ou des mélanges de ceux-ci, une quantité sûre et efficace d'un solvant, le colorant étant soluble dans ledit solvant, et éventuellement une quantité sûre et efficace d'un parfum, ladite composition permettant de détecter de manière efficace des lésions déminéralisées. La présente invention concerne également une méthode visant à mettre en évidence de manière visuelle les lésions déminéralisées dans les surfaces dentaires, ou une méthode de détection de la bonne minéralisation des dents, ladite composition colorante étant appliquée dans la cavité orale ou sur les dents d'un humain ou d'un animal en ayant besoin. Dans un mode de réalisation, une première composition colorante et une seconde composition colorante sont appliquées de manière séquentielle dans la cavité orale ou sur les dents d'un humain ou d'un animal en ayant besoin. Suite à l'application des compositions colorantes, les dents sont observées afin d'évaluer les lésions déminéralisées marquées par les colorants.
