DYE CONTAINING PHOTOGRAPHIC EMULSIONS AND ELEMENTS Abstract of the Disclosure A photographic emulsion is disclosed containing grains comprised of a silver salt capable of forming a latent image, a sensitizing dye, and a dispersing medium. The sensitizing dye is present in the form of host crystals, and the grains are in conductive contact with the host dye crystals. A photographic element containing the emulsion is also disclosed.
