Case 1-11441/MA 1715* Canada DYEING PROCESS Abstract of the Disclosure A process of dyeing textile fibres in which the fibre is contacted with a two-phase suspension comprising an active solvent containing dissolved dye and the necessary amount of a bulking inert substantially immiscible solvent, the active solvent under the conditions of dyeing being liquid, is a solvent for the dye, is insoluble or only slightly soluble in the inert solvent, and in which the fixation affinity of the fibre for the dye is greater than that of the active solvent for the dye at the temperature required for the fixation, wherein the dye used is in the form of an aqueous, stable, highly concentrated, finely dispersed, flowable preparation insoluble to difficultly soluble in water containing at least 25% of finely dispersed dyestuff, at most 10% of an anion-active dispersing agent, at most 5% of a non-ionic dispersing agent and from O to 35% of a hydrotropic agent.
