The monitoring device of the invention includes, across the terminals of each of the series-connected batteries of a multiple battery pack (B1 to Bn), an electronic balancing and monitoring device (2.1 to 2.n). Each of said electronic devices comprises a ballast for shunting and dissipating a portion of the current of the corresponding battery in case the charge characteristics of said battery are no longer in equilibrium with the other batteries.

Le dispositif de surveillance de l'invention comporte, aux bornes de chaque batterie d'un pack constitué de plusieurs batteries (B1 à Bn) reliées en série, un dispositif électronique de surveillance et d'équilibrage (2.1 à 2.n). Chacun de ces dispositifs électroniques comporte un ballast dérivant et dissipant une partie du courant de la batterie correspondante en cas de déséquilibre des caractéristiques de cette batterie par rapport aux autres.
