Disclosed is a dynamic damper which is to absorb building vibrations in any horizontal directions, not restricted ted to one direction. For example, it comprises an oscillating body which is held to move horizontally, a plurality of ball screws which are arranged perpendicularly to each other with a height difference among them and which have a nut portion on the side of the oscillating body and a screw shaft engaging with said nut portion, and motors which reciprocate the oscillating body according to the period of vibration of the building by turning the ball screws. Also, a method is disclosed for detecting malfunction of a dynamic damper which utilizes the correlation Rx y between the acceleration of velocity or displacement of a building.
Amortisseur dynamique absorbant les vibrations d'un immeuble dans toutes les directions horizontales et sans se limiter à une seule direction. L'amortisseur se compose d'un corps oscillant installé de manière à bouger horizontalement, de plusieurs vis à billes perpendiculaires les unes aux autres, à des hauteurs différentes, et munies d'un écrou du côté du corps oscillant, d'un arbre hélicoïdal s'engageant avec l'écrou, ainsi que de moteurs qui actionnent dans un mouvement de va et vient le corps oscillant en fonction de la durée des vibrations, en faisant tourner les vis à billes. L'invention a également trait à une méthode permettant de déceler les défauts de fonctionnement de l'amortisseur dynamique; la méthode fait appel à la corrélation Rx y entre l'accélération de la vitesse et le déplacement de l'immeuble.
