A dynamic distractor (10) is described for distracting an intervertebral space and determining a size of an artificial intervertebral disc to be implanted in the intervertebral space. The distractor comprises two arms with baseplates (13, 15) at their distal ends, a pusher block having a distal portion located between the arms, and a linkage mechanism coupled to the pusher block and the baseplates, wherein movement of the pusher block expands the base plates away from one another.

L'invention concerne un distracteur dynamique (10) destiné à distracter l'espace intervertébral et à déterminer la taille d'un disque intervertébral artificiel qui doit être implanté dans l'espace intervertébral. Le distracteur comprend deux bras dotés de plaques de base (13, 15) à leur extrémité distale, un bloc-poussoir dont une partie distale est située entre les bras et un mécanisme de liaison couplé au bloc-poussoir et aux plaques de base, le déplacement du bloc-poussoir écartant les plaques de base l'une de l'autre.
