The invention concerns a method for velocimetric measuring of a target (6) vibrating with a displacement higher than the wavelength, with limited extension about a mean position, which consists in causing a reference laser beam (3) and a beam diffused (14) by the target (6) to interfere in the holographic material (4); and measuring with a photoelectric detector (8) the variation of the luminous intensity transmitted by the material is measured.
