A dynamoelectric machine comprising a housing, a rotor assembly, and a stator assembly, the stator assembly comprising a first insulator and a second insulator adhered to at least one stator coil, the second insulator overlapping the first insulator and extending beyond a rotor end ring. The stator assembly is mounted in the housing and comprises a bore extending therethrough such that a rotor core extends through the stator bore. The stator assembly further comprises a stator core having at least one slot exit, and the at least one stator coil which exits the stator core at the slot exit.
