An ear protector is disclosed comprising an elastic headband, an earpiece arranged on each side of the headband, at least one support element on the headband, and at least one complementary securing member on each earpiece. The securing member engages with the support element in order to hold the earpiece. The headband has an arch part which extends over the area of the skull and which has through-openings for letting air through to the part of the skull of the user covered by the arch part.
