The present invention provides compositions and methods for regulating expression of isolated nucleotide sequences in a plant. The compositions are novel nucleic acid sequences for immature ear (early flowering)-preferred regulatory sequences. Methods for expressing an isolated nucleotide sequence in a plant using the regulatory sequences are also provided as well as expression constructs, vectors, transformed cells and plants.
