A s t r a c t The invention relates to early-rain-resistant jointing compounds containing - aqueous polymer dispersions (I) - nonionic cellulose ethers (II) from the group consist- ing of hydroxyethyl, hydroxyethyl methyl, hydroxyprop- yl methyl and hydroxypropyl cellulose - optionally typical additives, such as fillers, pig- ments, plasticizers, extenders, thickeners, foam inhibitors, dispersion aids, pH regulators, preser- vatives and antiagers and - at least one organic liquid component from the group of typical additives, which can be produced by thorough mixing of (I) with the other constituents. To be able to introduce (II) in quantities above the solubility limit, the jointing com- pounds are characterized in that (II) is added and mixed in retarded and/or non-retarded form in suspension in the liquid organic component.
