ABSTRACT "Earth Stabilisation" A stabilised earth structure has a substantially vertical front face 7 and is stabilised by layers of substantilly horizontal strips extending rearwardly from the front face. The frictional force mobilised between the strips and the earth in a rear section is greater than that mobilised by a front section 1, for example by forming the front section 1 as a single strip and the rear section as a pair of strips 3,4. Alternatively a single strip may be provided wherein the lateral dimension of the rear section is wider than that of the front section.
