The invention relates to the earthing of an electronic circuit in a device belonging to a low-voltage system with a maximum AC voltage of 1000 V or a maximum DC voltage of 1500 V in which the device is at the main voltage potential or is connected to the main voltage through a high-impedance coupling, as well as to the overvoltage protection of the interface between such an electronic circuit and a SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) circuit. The neutral point (COM) of the electronic device is coupled to protective earth (PE) through at least one breakdown-based overvoltage protector. The rated breakdown voltage (Ub) of the overvoltage protector is higher than the voltage present across it in normal operating conditions but lower than the minimum dielectric strength (Uc) of the component forming the interface between the electronic device and the SELV circuit.

L'invention concerne la mise à la terre d'un circuit électronique dans un dispositif faisant partie d'un système basse tension avec une tension CA maximale de 1000 V ou une tension CC maximale de 1500 V, dans lequel le dispositif se trouve au potentiel de tension principal ou est connecté à la tension principale par un couplage à haute impédance, ainsi qu'à la protection contre la surtension de l'interface entre ledit circuit électronique et un circuit SELV (très basse tension de sécurité). Le point neutre (COM) du dispositif électronique est couplé à la terre protectrice (PE) par au moins un protecteur de surtension à claquage. La tension de claquage nominale (U¿b?) du protecteur de surtension est supérieure à la tension existante dans celui-ci dans des conditions de fonctionnement normales, mais elle est inférieure à l'intensité diélectrique minimum (U¿c?) du constituant formant l'interface entre le dispositif électronique et le circuit SELV.
