ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An easy-open mechanism for packaging includes spaced punctures aligned intermediate the lateral edges of a thermoplastic film, and pressure sensitive labels applied to the punctures, and including header tabs at one end of the labels to permit easy-opening of the package by propagating the tear initiated at the puncture along the length of the package.
