AN EASY OPEN PACKAGE HAVING A RECLOSABLE FEATURE Abstract of the Disclosure A pouch or bag constructed from multi-layer thermoplastic film for packaging cheese, luncheon meat and the like. Around the mouth of the bag the lip is folded inwardly, the mouth flattened, and a transverse seal is applied across the bag between the fold line and the folded under edge to close the bag in a seal in which a portion of the outer surface of the bag is sealed to itself thereby providing an easy open seal. Along one-half of the mouth a dead fold element is enclosed within the fold which, when bent, aids in closing the package.
