ABSTRACT Eburnane-oxime derivatives, process for their preparation, and pharmaceutical compositions containing these compounds The invention relates to racemic or optically active eburnane-oxime derivatives of the formulae (Ia) and/or (Ib) Image (Ia) Image (Ib) wherein R represents an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and the configuration of the hydrogen in the 3-position and R is .alpha.,.alpha. and/or .beta.,.beta. or .alpha.,.beta. and/or .beta.,.alpha., and acid addition salts thereof. The new compounds are pharma- ceutically active, in particular the compounds of the formula (Ia) possess valu- able antihypoxial activity and can therefore be employed as active ingredient of pharmaceutical compositions.
