ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides an eccentric press for moulding articles, comprising a press frame, two press moulds arranged one on either side of a feed device, each press mould having a reciprocating die and a stationary die fixed in the press frame, a shearing knife for cutting off workpiece blanks from an advancing workpiece stock, the shearing knife being reciprocable transversely to the direction of advancement of the workpiece stock, a feed device for delivering the workpiece blanks alternately to one of the two press moulds, the feed device being driven in synchronism with the knife, and a stationary shearing bush for guiding the workpiece stock, the shearing knife being arranged at the workpiece entry side of the shearing bush and the feed device being arranged at the ejection side of the shearing bush, the feed device being mounted for movement, in synchronism with the press working cycle, between the ejection side of the shearing bush and alternate ones of the two press moulds in such a manner that the feed device simultaneously receives a workpiece at the ejection side of the shearing bush whilst it is delivering another workpiece at one of the two press moulds.
