ABSTRACT ECONOMIZER APPARATUS FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES Economizer apparatus for an internal combustion engine comprising pipe means adapted to shunt the carburettor of an internal combustion engine so as to facilitate the introduction of atmospheric air supplied via the pipe means into an air:fuel mixture fed from the carburettor to the engine, air flow control means operatively associated with the pipe means for controlling the flow of air through the pipe means, and a linkage attached to the air flow control means and adapted to be attached to a throttle linkage of the engine whereby in use of the apparatus the air flow control means is operated via the linkage contemporaneously with the throttle so that the quantity of atmospheric air supplied via the pipe means to the engine is determined in dependence upon throttle setting.
