An edge bumper guard assembly (40) for a rollable suitcase (10) luggage article is provided. The edge guard assembly has two edge guards (44, 46) located at the lower rear corners of the suitcase. Each of the edge guards protects a section of the lower (20), rear (16) and side panels (22, 24) of a suitcase body (12) forming a part of the rollable suitcase. Each of the guards also rotatably sypports a wheel (64) in close proximity to the side panels and protects the wheels from impacts with obstructions as the suitcase is being pulled along the surface. The two edge guards are interconnected by a spanning member (82) so that the edge guards may be used on suitcase bodies having differing width dimensions.
La présente invention concerne un ensemble (40) de protection latérale contre les chocs pour une valise à roulettes (10). Cet ensemble comprend deux éléments de protection latérale (44, 46) situés aux angles arrière inférieurs de la valise. Chaque élément de protection protège une section des panneaux inférieurs (20), arrière (16) et latéraux (22, 24) du corps (12) de la valise à roulettes, soutient une roulette (64) pivotante tout près des panneaux latéraux et protège les roulettes contre les impacts d'obstacles lorsqu'on tire la valise le long d'une surface.
