ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A combination of an edge lugged rim, and fastening assemblies therefor, mounted on a wheel without the use of radially inclined wheel felloe surfaces. In the Fig. 1 embodi- ment, the clamp element of a fastening assembly is piloted on a radially inner axially oriented lateral wheel felloe surface. In the Fig. 2 embodiment, the clamp element of a fastening assembly is piloted on the shank of the stud of a fastening assembly.
