A system (100) for automatically gathering efficiency metrics in a quick- service establishment that makes use of data already generated. Such data includes efficiency data of a drive-thru lane or pick-up window (108) at a fast-food restaurant (202,204,and 206). The data may be analysed locally or at a remote location. For example, comparison may be made to other restaurants of cost operations per vehicle (110), wait times, and other data.
