ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A combustor for a combustion turbine comprises a plurality of ring segments, each with an enhanced wall cooling mechanism. Each ring segment comprises a shell member and a skin member with coolant channels spiraling longitudinally therebetween for conduction of cooling air from the ring segment exterior at one end to the segment interior at the opposite end.
